It's back! After receiving so many requests to put it on again in 2024. This is a delightful off-road run in the Wye Valley with sections on Offa's Dyke at the Bluebell time of the year.
Free parking, toilets and inclusive teas and cakes after.
Bluebell Blunder Course Description
The course begins with an uphill stretch on a delightful forest trail. Eventually you emerge onto a country lane with an attractive converted barn.
Soon you return to a footpath, with some twists and turns through the forest, including a short trot along the Offa’s Dyke Path, you emerge onto a high point. below which you are greeted with a charming view of
You now head southwards and with dense forest either side I heard a rustling, and a deer bounded upwards through the trees. He stopped and we watched each other for a minute or so, until I moved on – a magical moment.
Eventually you head left to Offa’s Dyke Path, which you now follow all the way to the finish. This is the highlight of the run, with open fields, woods carpeted with bluebells, and pleasant, undulating running. After crossing the final style, the Lower Wye Valley showcases its finest display of bluebells. We hope you still have the energy to marvel at them.
